My
relationship with the Lord began when I was sixteen years old and my family
moved to Sarasota. In Sarasota, I became very active at Church of the Holy
Spirit. With my youth group, I attended both New Beginnings and Happening
weekends then later worked on the teams. After high school, I enrolled at the
University of Florida in Gainesville. I graduated with a degree in Family,
Youth, & Community Sciences and minored in Human Services and Child & Youth
Development. During my junior year, I began working at a college student
ministry called Chapel House. I started as the office administrator but my
passion was developing and co-leading the programs and classes. My second year I
became the Ministry Coordinator. I loved my time at Chapel House so much that I
knew I had to continue to work in Christian ministry. This past winter, I
received a call from the Lord to leave Gainesville and move back to the Sarasota
area. My goal as the youth pastor of Saint Mary Magdalene is to encourage and
aid students in experiencing God in their daily lives, growing a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ, and being filled and guided by the Holy Spirit.
I am excited about what the Lord is going to do with our youth!
